Dr. Benoit graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University with a degree in neuroscience. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the SUNY College of Optometry and completed a Combined Contact Lens and Ocular Disease residency program at the Havener Eye Institute at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Benoit was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society throughout her four years of optometry school. She was the recipient of the 2019 GP Lens Institute Clinical Excellence Award for Outstanding Clinical Proficiency in Contact Lenses, the Beta Sigma Kappa Award for Academic Excellence and the Dr. William M. Eisenberg Memorial Award for Excellence in Ocular Disease. Dr. Benoit is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Connecticut Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Benoit specializes in rigid contact lens fitting for complex corneal conditions including keratoconus, corneal scarring, post-corneal transplant and severe ocular surface disease. She has extensive experience fitting soft, hybrid, RGP, and scleral contact lenses. Dr. Benoit also provides primary eyecare, ocular disease management and pre/post-op care. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking and singing.
