Dr. Bennett graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After entering the field of optometry as a vision therapist and optician, she continued her education at SUNY College of Optometry, where she graduated with her Doctorate in Optometry in 2013. Dr. Bennett’s clinical experience has focused on behavioral optometry, vision therapy, traumatic brain injuries, and included extensive training in ocular health. Her recent education and clinical training has enabled Dr. Bennett to incorporate the most current research into her diagnostic and treatment plans.
Dr. Bennett joined the EyeCare Associates team in 2013. She administers ocular health and functional vision evaluations to patients of all ages, including those with a history of headaches, double vision and academic difficulties. In addition, she fits contact lenses, performs visual perceptual evaluations, and provides vision therapy to children and adults.
Dr. Bennett lives with her husband, Mike, and their daughter, Ava, in Shelton. They enjoy going on hikes and traveling together.
